Welcome to Squaring the Triangle, a space where I explore the art and science of program and project management. My aim is to share insights, stories, and frameworks that help us move beyond the clichés and truly deliver better outcomes—whether in boardrooms, construction sites, digital transformations, or even on the basketball court.
I am a senior portfolio, program, and project manager with over 30 years of experience leading complex initiatives across mining, healthcare, utilities, government, insurance, and finance. My work has taken me from the UK to Australia and across Asia, managing onshore/offshore teams in India, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Along the way, I’ve helped deliver portfolios worth hundreds of millions, driven automation and AI adoption, and led transformations that connected strategy with delivery.
Originally from the UK, I moved to Australia in 2011 and proudly became a citizen in 2016. Perth is now home, and I balance my professional life with volunteering in the project management community and coaching youth basketball—two worlds that often overlap in surprising ways.
At its heart, this blog is about sharing ideas, sparking debate, and learning together. If it helps even a little to improve the quality of our projects, then that’s a very fine outcome indeed.
